When you visit us at Bookends or Everybookapound, you'll be served by a number of people.

First, there's Jim. He's the owner and brain behind the whole thing. Jim has nearly forty years of retail experience across a number of sectors, and it was this that inspired him to set up Bookends. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of our stock, so he's the man to call when you must have one specific book. He's also our main expert on our Christian and inspirational books. He's in more often than not, so if you pop in or call, chances are Jim's the guy you'll speak to.

Like Jim, Neil has spent many years in retail, with detours large and small in art, music and teaching. He's a self-confessed geek and the one to talk to when you want to know about science-fiction and fantasy, amongst other genres. Neil is presently working on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays.

Lynton is a relative newcomer to the staff scene at Bookends, but he's not a newcomer to the world of bookselling, having previously run a shop of his own in Downpatrick. He's usually around on Thursday and Friday, although like all of us, he's prepared to be flexible.

Lisa is Jim's daughter and can mainly be found at the desk in Everybookapound. A fully qualified historian - she has a doctorate in Irish women's history - Lisa is also a qualified secondary teacher of history. Her specialisms are history (as you might expect!), literature, and children's literature, especially the 'girlsown' sector. She is usually in on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
